Avionics launch procedures
Pre-assembly
Load test all flight batteries with a multimeter
Check resistance of ematches (should be single digit ohms)
Verify file system integrity on any SD cards that are to be flown
Test flight computer functionality
RRC3
Connect 9V to the board with all pyros disconnected and all DIP switches OFF. You should hear a 5 second long beep, followed by 10 seconds of silence. This is the initialization period.
If you hear 7 quick beeps followed by one or more short beeps, this indicates a POST failure. Refer to the manual to determine the fault.
If there is no POST fault, you should expect to hear a single, long repeating beep, which indicates no continuity on either of the deployment terminals.
Remove power before connecting ematches and beginning final assembly.
PAL 9K31
Connect 9V to the board with the PROG switch set to OFF. After a few seconds of initialization, the yellow LED will start flashing at the polling rate (may appear solidly on).
Ensure that the Micro SD card is securely inserted into the slot and the green LED is lit, indicating that the board is successfully able to write to the card.
Move the PROG switch to the ON position. The yellow LED should turn off, and the green LED should start flashing, indicating that it is safe to remove the SD card.
Remove power and move PROG switch back to OFF before beginning final assembly.
